ElmoFromOK not a muppet

Since our normal Pathfinder game session was canceled due players being gone, we decided to have a one shot Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition game to see what we thought about it.

I have heard so many divergent reports about the new system that I cannot honestly say what I expect it to be like. I am eager to play it for myself and see what is really going on.

I stopped by my friendly local gaming store , Little Shop of Games and spoke to Lane about it. He is a great guy and runs a great little game shop. He did not have the 4th edition gift set, that includes all three books, nor did he have the Dungeon Masters Guide. I instead picked up the introductory adventure Keep on the Shadowfell and the Players Guide.

I am going to spend the next few days reading over the adventure and the guide to see what all the new rules are and what I think of them.

It would have been easy to purchase the books on amazon and they would have been cheaper. But I specifically wanted to support Lane, even if it was more expensive. When I was checking out, Lane got a smile on his face and went into the back of the store. He came back with an armful of minis and an special adventure that was sent to the store for DnD Game Day.

I scored a ton of free minis! I love minis.
