ElmoFromOK.com is a gathering point for my online existence. Whether it be blog posts, stories of my life, podcasts I have recorded or photos I have taken, I will try and include it here. I do not realize how dependent I am on a cell phone until I do not have one. Then I realize how hard it is to stay in touch with clients, talk to friends, arrange meetings, etc.. I feel so disconnected with the world.
The cheap little old cell phone that I got to replace the cell phone that was stolen a few months ago is no longer charging. I have three months left on my sprint plan and do not want to renew, so buying a phone from them is not an option. The cheapest phone from them is like 300 dollars without a plan. Lame. read more »

Since I was young I have always wanted a pet monkey. I just love the idea of having one of the little guys climb up on my shoulder and hang out or go swinging around the house and be hilarious. I imagine it would be a difficult task keeping one of the devils but I still want one:)

My wife, Elizabeth, wants to start organizing her recipes more easily and it occurred to me that we could use a software solution for this. But many of the recipes she wants to save are from books or from handwritten family notes that have been handed down for years, and the idea of retyping all of these is not very appealing.
I was looking through the various option that are available and it occurred to me that someone should be using the powerful little webcams that computers are coming with these days to pull the recipes in. read more »
